I thought I would update you all on my eventfully uneventful life.
Let's see.... It started with the Mini Van. We made that purchase and loved it so so so much. We then proceeded to decide that now was the time to buy a new house (bigger, one that will house football playing boys and their friends) and that now is a buyers market- so let's put our house up for sale and see what's out there. We then proceed to go from, "We'll see what happens with our house selling and maybe find something different" to " we have found a great house in a great neighborhood and the seller is DESPERATE to sell so we are going to save ourselves roughly $45k by buying it now and having 2 mortgages". Did you get that run on sentence?
So now we are making offers and counter offers on another house in Kris' old stomping ground neighborhood and still waiting to sell our house. Can we say FAITH??? Yeah, apparently God is trying to teach that to me, because sometimes I feel like I might be suffering a nervous breakdown. :) It will all work out, God has great things in store for us- gotta keep the faith.
I also have a fantastic story about dentist phobia's in 6 year olds and just how strong they become when you pin down their 60 pound body on the chair and they kick you , and rip the mirror tool from their mouth in a fit of terror.... I'll save that for the next post. Let's just say the girl who never cries actually burst out in tears in front of the dentist and his assistants. Yes, that just happened.... until next time.

I'm going for the geeks...
Amazing Race season has begun! We have our weekly Amazing Race party, and I'm going for the geek team. XBox playing, comic reading geeks! It's in my nature to go for the underdogs! I wanted to go for the hippie bee-keepers, but I've been there, done that. Gotta go for the geeks. Who are you going for???

I have crossed over into the world of...
MINI VAN ownership!!! I swore (literally) I would never do it, as did Kris. But, we did. It all came to a spiraling realization when we tried to load a few items in the Altima's trunk from Sam's Club and they WOULND'T FIT. The reason they wouldn't fit was due to one small stroller. We literally ran out of room- the 2005 Nissan Quest jumped out at us and an hour of negotiations later, she was ours. We used to think "we are way too cool to drive a mini-van". Now, we know we are way too cool no matter what we drive. :)
Oh, and here are some other fun, random pictures that I thought you might enjoy!

Someone is turning 1...

Our friend Amber, who is starting her photography business, took our pictures while she was here visiting before she moved to Cali. She did so amazing and we loved them so much that I decided to make the little one's Bday invite out of one of the pics. We still have a month, but I was too excited to wait to show you!! The only difference is that is will say, "Someone is turning one..." on the front below the feet and the logistics of everything else will be on the flipside. Yea for almost having a one year old!

Call me a feminist
but I'm kind of glad I scored "poor" as a 1930's housewife. Those women must have really driven themselves crazy!

We start tomorrow
My brother and his wife are amazingly healthy, earthy and wonderful people. They were just here and we had a great time camping, listening to Marshall plat at The Breaks over a glass of wine with Nina, and just having fun. They are also thin and healthy. I am amazed at thin people because it is always a struggle I battle. Genetics, learned environment, etc... all play a factor in it. So, Marshall had mentioned that they are going to do the Abs Diet again for six weeks to shed a few extra pounds and Kris and I are jumping onboard! God save us! It shouldn't be too bad though-the food options are things we usually like to eat, it will just be cutting out all the other stuff and incorporating a little workout into the mix. Hopefully we can do it for just six weeks and lose a couple of those extra post baby pounds and be healthier overall. I'll let you know it six weeks the results...
